Experience what local artists are creating with these Tulsa museums, theatres, and more.

Our real estate agents know that Tulsa's iconic status as a literary and artistic hub of the Southwest is one of its most attractive traits. World-class museums and artistic venues are always just a short drive or even a walk away. There's always something new to see and do, and many opportunities are low-cost or even free.

Tulsa homes for sale are ideal for lovers of culture. No matter whether you prefer a night at the symphony, browsing the stacks at truly unique bookstores, strolling through a unique art collection on permanent exhibit, or exploring history and architecture through the eyes of passionate experts, this is truly the place to be.

Let's visit just a few of the many museums and other cultural attractions in Tulsa, OK:

  • Philbrook Museum of Art – 2727 South Rockford Road, Tulsa, OK 74114
Philbrook Museum of Art is dedicated to making a more creative and connected community through its unique art and gardens. In addition to a variety of permanent exhibits, there are multiple activities for adults and kids taking place every day. Recent exhibits include topics such as "Here Be Dragons: Mapping the Real and Imagined" and "Photographer Brett Weston: The Shape of Nature" among many others that change monthly.
  • Decopolis – 1401 East 11th Street, Suite B, Tulsa, OK 74120
Decopolis is a unique initiative from local entrepreneur and muralist "William the Artist," whose vision to create an Art Deco museum in a historic building began back in 2020. Challenged by COVID, the project moved out to Route 66 where it has become a thriving shop and "mini-museum." Buoyed by plenty of community support, William soon has some big plans to launch an all-new and even bigger Decopolis in an owned Tulsa property.
  • Gilcrease Museum – 1400 North Gilcrease Museum Road, Tulsa, OK 74127
Gilcrease Museum, formally known as the Thomas Gilcrease Institute of American History and Art, is a lauded partnership between the University of Tulsa and the City of Tulsa, OK. With a history dating back to 1949, it is a former private museum founded by oilman Thomas Gilcrease, who famously amassed the world's top collection of American West memorabilia and art, much of which remains on display in the current facility to this very day.
  • Tulsa Performing Arts Center – 110 East 2nd Street South, Tulsa, OK 74103
Tulsa Performing Arts Center is one of the largest and most celebrated performing arts venues not only in Tulsa or in Oklahoma itself, but throughout the region as a whole. Operated as a nonprofit with nearly a dozen always active programs that encourage artistic experiences and learning, it stages performances almost every day. The itinerary includes comedy, concerts, dance, lectures, Broadway shows, children's shows, and so many more.
  • Magic City Books – 221 East Archer Street, Tulsa, OK 74103
Magic City Books is one of America's largest independent bookstores and a crossroads at the center of what the acclaimed author Neil Gaiman called "a place of literary magic." Operated by a nonprofit foundation, it is known for its book clubs, author events, and the recent establishment of a press that helps local Tulsa writers get exposure throughout the community and across the country.
